Blood Orange Rosemary Spritz (Non-Alcoholic)
My favorite low-sugar holiday mocktail.

The ingredients are easily accessible and can be mixed to suit your palate. (Translation: You can't really screw this up!)
Ingredients:
- Juice of one small blood orange
- 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- Sparking water or kombucha of choice
- Ice
- Optional: Splash of Angostura bitters
Directions:
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Add the juice of one small blood orange and the fresh lemon juice.
- Lightly clap the rosemary sprig between your hands to release the oils, then add it to the glass.
- Top with sparkling water or kombucha of choice.
- Gently stir to combine.
- Optional: add a small splash of Angostura bitters.
- Garnish with the rosemary sprig and enjoy.
Nutritional Information
Pros:
Research has found that kombucha may help lower blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes, increase good gut bacteria, and boost levels of anti-inflammatory compounds or antioxidants in the body.
Cons:
Not all kombucha is created equal. Some bottles have 15-20 grams of sugar. That’s not far from Coca-Cola’s 39 grams of sugar. Then there’s the fizz factor: all that carbonation and acidity can trigger gastrointestinal issues.
